How many guests can the winery accommodate? Our maximum capacity is 75 guests. What type of events can be held at Briar Rose Winery? We are a full service venue for events of all types, including, weddings, receptions, corporate meetings, retreats, showers, luncheons, birthday parties, and more. All guests must be 21 or older. Do I need to make an appointment to tour the Winery? Yes! We would love to show you our Enchanted Gardens. Please contact our event Specialist - Jacquelyn to set up an appointment. You can reach her at 760-807-3175. The winery is open for tastings 5 days a week and we offer weddings and events 7 days a week. In order to insure that all of your questions are answered and the privacy of an event that may be taking place, an appointment is necessary. What do I need to do to reserve my event date? After you have signed a contract and paid your non-refundable deposit your event date will be reserved. The deposit is a percentage of the total package cost. Please discuss details with our Event Specialist. Can we bring in our own decorations? We highly encourage the use of decorations to customize your event and reflect your personal style. We love to make each celebration truly unique. Candles are allowed (fully enclosed flame). We do not allow any stapling, nailing, tacking to any of the trees. Use of zip ties and florist wire is allowed. You may bring bird seed, real rose petals and wedding rice, but please keep the sparklers at home. What other additional costs can we expect? Wedding and Event packages are all-inclusive but there are many items that you may add to customize your wedding or event. Anything that is added to the package will incur additional costs, otherwise there no additional charges. Where do my guests park during my event? Briar Rose Winery offers parking adjacent to the winery for all guests attending an event. We have approximately 35 parking spaces on site. Do we have a choice between male or female officiant? Yes, we have both male and female, civil and religious officiants available, simply specify your preference when booking your wedding package. What about gratuities, do we need to tip? Gratuity is a very personal thing. Consider this, your vendors work hard to make your event extra special for you, some working up to 14 hour days. Keeping this in mind we recommend gratuities for the vendors who are working during your event. Catering Gratuities are included in your package cost. Other vendors to consider are your DJ, Photographer, Officiant, Videographer, Coordinator, Driver, etc. Some prefer to add these gratuities to their package total ahead of time, so you don’t have to think about it later. Please discuss this in more detail with your Coordinator. |
How do I choose my menu selections? Our culinary teams create and execute all menus for event dining. Using the freshest ingredients and finest culinary skills, their creations are beautiful in presentation and delicious in taste. You can choose from our catering menus, speak with our Event Specialist to develop your own signature menu. Can an outside caterer be used? Catering is included in our All Inclusive Event Packages. Our caterers can provide you with any menu your heart desires. Please discuss this with our Event Specialist. Will your staff set up the ceremony and reception area? Briar Rose Winery provides all setup of chairs, tables, and linens. Any special decoration needs will need to be discussed with the Event Specialist or your Coordinator. May we bring in our own alcohol? Briar Rose Winery is a ABC certified facility and the State of California requires that all alcohol is purchased through Briar Rose Winery. Outside alcohol is not allowed. What is the Special Events Liability Insurance and why is it required? A Special Events Liability Insurance Policy is included in your event package and is mandatory. This will protect you from liability for injury or property damage that may happen before, during or after your wedding. Our Event Specialist will acquire the policy for you and supply you with a copy of it for your records. What is the outside vendor policy? For your convenience our All-Inclusive Event Packages include our preferred vendors of Caterers, Bakeries, DJ's, Photographers, Wedding Floral Design, Wedding Officiants and Wedding Coordinator. We are confident they will provide top quality service that will contribute to an overall successful event. Also, all of our partners are licensed and carry full liability insurance, so you can rest easy knowing that you and your guests are protected. Please discuss use of other vendors who are not included in our Event Packages with our Event Specialist. What is the Beer, Wine and Liquor Policy? Briar Rose Winery has a beer and wine license, only wine and beer may be served on the property. We include wine and beer in our packages and offer the availability to choose from hosted bar or cash bar. Custom beers may be ordered at additional costs. Please discuss your preferences with our Event Specialist. Briar Rose Winery is always responsible for operating the bar. We provide your Bartender for all events. Our license does not include liquor so we are not able to sell liquor or allow liquor to be brought on to the property! Please note: drinking alcoholic beverages in the parking lot or in a car is not allowed. Anyone found doing this will be asked by our Event Specialist to discontinue and if they continue they will be asked to leave the event.
